Can I tell the story behind these cute pictures?

On Monday Brenda, Shelby and I went to get Breanna's pictures taken. We had a fun time getting her ready and to the studio on time. She has had her pictures taken 3 times before so the routine was not new to her, but when it came time to have them taken, she got the death of grip hold on Brenda and would not let go. (This is the same grip she gets when it's time to go to nursery but that's another story). We tried for 45 minutes to get her to stay on her own and she refused. Normally, she is so happy and photogenic that it is just a delight! We tried to entice her with a chair (which she adores), a ladder, a yellow duckie and a feather duster. But all to no avail. Finally, in desperation, we gave up and made another appointment for later that afternoon.

Lately, when she sees her grandmas, she doesn't want anything to do with us because we are the ones who tend her when Brenda has to work. So she has made this association and thinks that Mom is going to leave. The reality is that when Mom leaves, she may cry for a minute and a half and then she is off chasing something to play with. She also loves playing with Shelby.

So we went with plan 2. Grandma would not go and Brenda would let Shelby do everything for her. So she helped her out of the car seat and held her hand walking in, etc.
Everything seemed to be working until the time for the "Big Show." It was only slightly better. Brenda was in every picture, off to the side, holding on to her. They only got about 4 poses to chose from when they usually get a dozen cute ones. They had to crop Brenda out. They turned out really well considering all they had to go through to get them.

It's for sure, Breanna has a very strong personality. Fortunately for her, she has wonderful parents who are helping to channel that personality for good. She will be a good leader!

The pictures look like Breanna is right at home in front of the camera. I would have never guessed that she had such a hard time.
